Federico Smanio – Head of Digital and Fan Relationship Management at Lega B

 

Federico was a professional football player from 1997 to 2008, and after a brief stint at Lotto Sport Italia in the EMEA Commercial office, he managed to start a new career in the sports industry at Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie B, where he has been working since June 2010 assisting the CEO in the implementation of the strategies of the Marketing Department of the newly created and most dynamic sports league in Italy.

He has designed the overall digital, CRM and social media marketing strategy and is currently Head of Digital and Fan Relationship Management at Lega B. He is passionate for all things digital and fascinated by the way the new media affect people’s life, especially how the multi-channel communication world can improve everyone’s existence. A regular speaker and 1h. 23 min. Half Marathon runner he also writes regular blog posts on the web, commenting on sport, marketing, language learning, travels, economy and current affairs.
